Chelsea Academy Curriculum
Students follow a traditional curriculum grounded in English literature, grammar and composition, Latin and French, history, religion, mathematics, science, and the arts. In addition to advanced mathematics, honors classes are offered in English, history, and science in grades 9-12. Religion classes introduce students to the teachings, history, and theology of the Catholic Church. Field trips reinforce and build on work done in the classroom. Logic is studied in 8th grade, and Middle School students take Art and Physical Education.
Graduation Requirements
Students must earn a minimum of twenty-three credits for graduation, including
- Four years of English
- Three years of Latin, French, or a combination of the two, including second-year proficiency in either language
- Four years of religion
- Four years of history
- Four years of mathematics, including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus
- Four years of science, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- One year of fine art
Students are required to enroll in a minimum of five full-credit courses each year.
