Chelsea Academy Curriculum
Students follow a traditional curriculum grounded in English literature, grammar and composition, Latin and French, history, religion, mathematics, science, and the arts. In addition to advanced mathematics, honors classes are offered in English, history, and science in grades 9–12.
Religion classes introduce students to the teachings, history, and theology of the Catholic Church. Field trips reinforce and build on work done in the classroom. Logic is studied in 8th grade, and Middle School students take Art and Physical Education.
Graduation Requirements
Students must earn a minimum of twenty-six credits for graduation, including:
- English: Four years
- Languages: Three years of Latin, French, or a combination of the two, including second-year proficiency in either language
- Theology: Four years
- History: Four years
- Mathematics: Four years, including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-calculus/Statistics
- Science: Four years, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Physical Science
- Fine Art: One year
Students are required to enroll in a minimum of six full-credit courses each year.
