Angela Dugas

Holding an Art History degree from the College of William & Mary in Virginia, Miss Angela Dugas brings a remarkable combination of academic knowledge, artistic skill, and a passion for beauty to Chelsea Academy. Before joining Chelsea several years ago, she served as the young adult campus minister at her alma mater and later spent two years at the Institute of Catholic Culture, where she wore many hats in support of that far-reaching educational apostolate. Throughout her high school and college years, Miss Dugas had the privilege of studying under the incredible Mr. Henry Wingate as his first student, learning traditional representational drawing and painting in the style of the Boston and Florence ateliers. Their friendship and artistic collaboration have continued through numerous projects over the years. Her artwork has received Best in Show awards and scholarships and can be viewed at the Artists in Middleburg Gallery as well as online. Today, Miss Dugas continues to develop her craft through commissions, particularly in the areas of landscape and portraiture. She has the unique privilege of sharing her love of art with students across all grade levels, from our youngest artists in Lower School through our advanced Upper School students.
