What is The Chelsea Fund?
The Chelsea Fund is the first place to look to support a vibrant & faithful Catholic liberal arts education here in the Shenandoah Valley.
As Chelsea Academy's annual giving program, The Chelsea Fund is a critical part of our annual budget, filling the gap not covered by tuition & fees. Gifts to The Chelsea Fund impact all Chelsea students, and ensure the school's tuition rates and financial aid offerings can make a Chelsea education accessible to as wide a range of families as possible.
2025-26 Revenue Goal: $400,000
The Chelsea Fund supports:
Academics. Gifts to The Chelsea Fund allow us to enhance course offerings across the curriculum, to purchase superior textbooks and classroom materials, and to maintain optimal class sizes. In addition, gifts to The Chelsea Fund enable Chelsea to offer increasingly competitive compensation packages to hire and maintain faculty with outstanding credentials and the ability to inspire our students.
Aid. The success of The Chelsea Fund is critical to Chelsea's ability to attract mission-aligned families of all socioeconomic backgrounds through generous financial aid awards, sibling discounts, competitive tuition rates, and more. By giving to The Chelsea Fund, you are making it possible for more students to access a vibrant, faithful Catholic liberal arts education.
Arts, Athletics, & Adventure. Gifts to The Chelsea Fund help supplement and expand our school's extracurricular budget, providing support for everything from the visual arts, schola, and theatrical productions of the Chelsea Players; to underwriting travel and game participation costs for the Chelsea Knights; to offsetting the costs of Chelsea traditions like the fall hike and spring canoe trip.
Why Should I Participate?
Chelsea's Advancement Office is actively soliciting foundations, businesses, and other philanthropic support from outside the immediate Chelsea community. Strong internal support of The Chelsea Fund from current families is an important symbol of the vibrant and generous community we have at Chelsea, and exponentially strengthens our ability to magnify your giving by securing gifts from outside sources.
How much should I give?
The only gift that's too small is no gift at all! To help guide your family's discernment, Chelsea has instituted the following giving circles, each representing an increased commitment to the school's mission and named in connection to saints with special devotions at Chelsea. Giving circle levels correspond to the annual amount given to The Chelsea Fund.
Monthly Giving
Please consider making a monthly recurring gift!
Recurring gifts of any size--no matter how big or small--make a significant difference to Chelsea's budgeting and planning, and are easy to set up. You can also join one of The Chelsea Fund's giving circles by giving monthly, totaling the equivalent annual amount of the circle.
