Chelsea Academy admits students who show academic promise, embrace the ideals of the school, and desire to develop their potential for intellectual, physical, moral, and spiritual growth. A student’s character and interests are also considered in the admissions process.
Chelsea operates on a rolling admissions basis. We accept applications starting in October for the following academic year, and process them as we receive them. For an application to be complete, students must submit the application paperwork, a teacher’s recommendation, and their academic records. Chelsea utilizes FACTS and requires its use for application submission. In addition, they must write a short essay, take an admissions test, and–along with their parents– they must meet with the Headmaster for an interview.
To apply, please follow the following steps:
Use the link below to access Chelsea's online admissions portal, create your account, and submit a new student application.
- Submit at least three full years of grade reports or school records that include the most recent reporting period (two years for 2nd grade and one year for 1st grade applicants). An official transcript, if applicable, is required for grades 9-12. *K students are not required to provide grade reports or an essay.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a current teacher. If the applicant is homeschooled, a coach, religious educator, or other non-family member who works with the applicant can complete the form.
- Take the admissions test. The admissions test takes about one hour and will be scheduled in consultation with the Director of Admissions.
If you have any questions or difficulties accessing the form, please contact our Director of Admissions: Therese Zepeda or call (540) 377-1021. We will notify parents of the school’s decision within two weeks of completion of all steps of the admissions process.
