Emily Seals

Emily Seals joins Chelsea Academy as our new Second Grade teacher, bringing more than twenty years of rich educational experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Christopher Newport University, a Master of Education in Reading from James Madison University, and a Certificate in Educational Leadership, also from JMU. Throughout her career, Mrs. Seals has served across various lower and middle school grades as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, English department chair, student support leader, and school librarian.

Deeply devoted to helping students become confident readers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners, Mrs. Seals possesses exceptional expertise in literacy instruction and intervention. She is passionate about cultivating a love of books while fostering a classroom where every child feels known, encouraged, and challenged to grow. Mrs. Seals lives in the Shenandoah Valley with her husband and their two daughters. When she is not teaching, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. As she begins her journey at Chelsea, she is deeply honored to join a school dedicated to forming both the minds and hearts of its students, and she looks forward to partnering with families to help our younger members grow in wisdom, virtue, and their love of Christ.
