Elizabeth Nguyen

Dr. Elizabeth Nguyen brings to Chelsea Academy a deep commitment to Catholic liberal arts education and more than twelve years of professional experience in Catholic formation. Her background includes serving both as a classroom teacher in classical Catholic schools and as a diocesan administrator directing marriage and family formation and pro-life initiatives. She has taught students from the elementary grades through high school, as well as adult catechesis.
Most recently, Dr. Nguyen completed her fifth-year teaching Fifth Grade at Saint Theresa Catholic School in Sugar Land, Texas, while earning her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Saint Thomas in Houston. A native of Kansas, Dr. Nguyen attributes much of her own educational formation to the strong Catholic school culture of the Diocese of Wichita, where she also met her husband, Dr. Benedict Nguyen. Together they have been married for more than thirty years and are blessed with five adult children and seven grandchildren.
Dr. Nguyen is especially passionate about helping students encounter truth, goodness, and beauty through their studies. She looks forward to partnering closely with Chelsea families as she encourages every child to grow in wisdom, virtue, and a lifelong love of learning. She is inspired by Christ the Teacher, whom she sees as the center of history and the source of all knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.
