Ashley Maciag
Middle & Upper School Humanities
Groups: Upper School

A magna cum laude graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville with a B.A. in British and American Literature, and holder of a Master of Arts in Teaching from Clarkson University, Ashley brings sixteen years of rich, versatile experience across public, private, classical, and homeschool settings. After stepping away originally from her previous stint here at Chelsea Academy to focus on her growing family, Ashley poured her heart into homeschooling her five children (now thriving in grades K through 7). During this season, she designed immersive science and literature curricula, led vibrant cottage-school programs, and remained deeply rooted in Front Royal’s lively Catholic community. Now returning with even greater wisdom, maturity, and pedagogical depth, Ashley’s true gift shines in crafting inquiry-based lessons that ignite a lifelong passion for great books, sharpen critical thinking, refine writing, and foster spirited dialogue equipping our students to become the bold, faithful Catholic leaders our world so urgently needs. Ashley and her husband are blessed with eight wonderful children and a lively collection of pets. In her free time, the whole family delights in exploring new places, cheering on sports, and diving into good books together. Mrs. Ashley Maciag is thrilled to rejoin the Chelsea Academy community and to share her creative, engaging teaching style that sparks joy in learning and creativity in every classroom.
