Mrs. Clare Kuplack is beginning her second year at Chelsea Academy and her first as Assistant Headmistress, following a wonderful semester teaching sixth and seventh-grade humanities. In this new role, she will work closely with Dr. Wheeler and the rest of Chelsea's administrative team to support faculty and students, oversee student discipline and student support, assist with curriculum and professional development, and strengthen the systems that serve the daily life of the school. Mrs. Kuplack’s academic and professional formation is particularly well suited to Chelsea’s mission of authentic Catholic education. She earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College, where the Great Books curriculum and Socratic method formed her love of truth, primary texts, and the Catholic intellectual tradition. She later earned an M.S. in Psychology from Divine Mercy University’s Institute for the Psychological Sciences, deepening her understanding of human flourishing and equipping her to support the intellectual, emotional, and moral development of students.

With nearly fifteen years of experience mentoring young people, Mrs. Kuplack has taught classical subjects at Regina Caeli Academy, provided academic support at Holy Family Academy, led youth ministry programs, founded a community choir, and developed a high school writing course centered on logical thinking and timed, handwritten essays. Since joining Chelsea, she has especially enjoyed studying the texts that inspired the school’s founding and continuing to deepen her understanding of what makes a Catholic liberal arts education truly excellent. A resident of Front Royal since 2025, Mrs. Kuplack enjoys reading, music, and cooking for her husband, Kevin. She and Kevin are also joyfully preparing to welcome their first child, a baby boy, in September. Clare’s appointment as a part-time, hybrid Assistant Headmistress is also a fiscally responsible way to provide Chelsea with the additional administrative leadership and faculty support the school needs as it continues to grow.
