The Chelsea Difference: Academics, Faith, Friendship
- Academically rigorous courses equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel at the most competitive colleges and universities. At the same time, the purpose of Chelsea's academic program goes beyond simply preparing young people for college. Offering a rich and engaging curriculum, Chelsea Academy seeks to inspire in its students a love of truth and an appreciation for the life of the mind in the hope that they will continue to pursue intellectual interests throughout their lives.
- Student and faculty life is anchored by the Catholic Church -- her doctrine, prayers, devotions, and sacraments -- in an effort to promote what Pope John Paul II called a “culture of life” and a “civilization of love.” Chelsea Academy seeks to cultivate in its students a love for others and for God.
- A spirit of adventure is fostered by field trips, hikes, and sports, all of which encourage friendships, an essential feature of the good life. The English writer G.K. Chesterton wrote that “An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered.” Fortified by friendships and their own courage and determination, students are encouraged to see challenges, not as obstacles in their lives, but as opportunities for personal growth and accomplishment.
